the weekend that was
tax returns + laundry + poetry in unexpected places + mia yeast bakery treats + chicken kottu from a favourite sri lankan curry maker (who is sadly soon closing up shop) + bus and ferry rides to go visit friends on the other side of auckland + dinner and the delights of a good catch up as daylight faded to candle and firelight
cold morning swims under startling blue skies + a sunday sauna & sea swims + post-sauna coffee and crispy bagels laden with lox, cream cheese, capers & red onion
a wonky flowers discovery (yes i ordered some) + watering the neighbours plants & collecting their mail + imagining a trip back to scotland and the shetlands and adding in a jaunt to the outer hebrides (inspired by jules and greg’s wild swim, designing the hebrides and the friends we saw on the weekend)
making wonky wool pots out of the wool insulation that comes in our food boxes
meditating on sustainability and transfer shock reduction whilst blanket stitching wonky wool pots for seed raising and seedlings + chilli chicken and macadamias — a thai takeaway i want to try and replicate + spicy margaritas
